• Rotating shifts, full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and IMC patients on a 34-bed unit.
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertions, Foley catheter insertions, and titrating medications such as low-dose pressors, insulin, and heparin gtts.
• Maintain provider orders and utilize equipment such as Epic Charting, Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps, and Central Monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the cardiology/IMC team, including day shift charge nurses, for patient care and unit operations.
• Document patient progress and procedures accurately in electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience, including competency in central line cares, chest tubes, Foley insertions, Trach cares, and post-procedure care such as pacemakers and TAVRs.
• Current ND or compact state RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must badge in and out at the facility; navy blue scrubs required.
• Prior experience in cardiac stepdown or IMC units is preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with angiograms, cardiology procedures, and post-procedure patient management.
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and manage variable nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:3 to 1:5.
• Familiarity with EPIC Charting and medication delivery systems.
