- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical/surgical patients in a fast-paced, 15-bed unit
- Perform initial admissions and ongoing patient care until patients are transferred to designated units
- Utilize unit equipment including Epic electronic medical records, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication systems, and Alaris IV pumps
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and safety
- Adhere to unit protocols and standards, including dress code of navy blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with trauma patients and initial admission procedures
- Comfortable floating to other medical/surgical units as needed
