Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, day shifts, 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per shift, onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to neonatal patients in a Level III/IV Neonatal ICU setting
- Perform neonatal feeding, developmental care, positioning, parent education, and developmental interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Dr. Brown bottles, positioning devices, and specialty feeders
- Accurately document patient progress and treatments in the electronic medical record system (Meditech)
- Float to Pediatric Cardiac ICU and other pediatric units as needed based on census and caseload
Required Qualifications
- Neonatal ICU experience at Level III or IV
- Clinical proficiency in neonatal feeding and swallowing therapies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment
- Positive and calm demeanor with strong relationship-building skills
- Confident in clinical skills and able to adapt to a fast-paced setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in pediatric or neonatal intensive care units
- Familiarity with neonatal developmental care and positioning techniques
- Experience with parent education and developmental interventions
