Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, shifts per week: 3, rotating every other weekend and holiday

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in an acute rehab unit with a focus on neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, and complex medical cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including PT, OT, SLP, and pulmonary or cardiac rehab staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; manage specific drips such as heparin (drip titration not required).
• Attend daily team conferences and document patient progress in compliance with rehab documentation protocols.
• Support patient recovery and comfort, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Float to other units such as LTAC or med-surg as needed and trained.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid active IL RN license or confirmation of application process initiation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong neuro skills and experience working with patients with neurological, trauma, or complex medical conditions.
• Last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off required during submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in an acute inpatient rehab setting.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and monitor patient vitals.
• Comfortable working with CPAP/BIPAP and high-flow nasal cannula support during sleep therapy.
