Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, contract, inpatient hospital setting, rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm / 7pm-7:30am)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit for diverse patient populations.
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms; recognize and respond to arrhythmias.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
- Work at least every other holiday as part of scheduled rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty prior to travel assignments.
- At least 18 months of recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (travel experience acceptable).
- Active Ohio or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts to meet operational needs of the hospital.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of hospital policies related to telemetry monitoring and medication administration.
