Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel contract, 3x12-hour rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm, 7pm-7:30am)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Complete necessary assessments, documentation, and procedural tasks with accuracy and compliance
- Adapt to rotating shifts and work at least every other holiday as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a similar specialty prior to travel
- Recent 18 months of Cardiac Stepdown experience; travel experience acceptable
- Valid Ohio or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with PCU or Progressive Care unit preferred but not required
- Prior travel nursing experience helpful for understanding faster-paced environments
