Registered Nurse Oncology
Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, 13-16 weeks, Night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to oncology patients in a med-surg unit during night shifts
- Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies
- Monitor patients via telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team alerts
- Maintain infection prevention protocols and patient safety, including fall prevention measures
- Conduct patient assessments, manage IV therapies, and perform blood draws through central and peripheral lines
- Document patient care accurately using computerized charting system (EPIC)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Proficiency in IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management
- Ability to perform patient assessments and respond effectively to emergencies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology nursing experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncologic procedures
- Prior med-surg experience
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
