Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, temporary (travel assignment), night shifts, 12-hour shifts, floating between departments and locations within 20 miles
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the care episode
- Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed
- Adhere to protocols and standards of care, maintaining compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State
- BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a telemetry/progressive care unit with 18+ beds
- Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
- Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test (onsite) before starting
- Flexibility to float between departments and local locations within 20 miles
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic EMR experience
- NIHSS certification
