Registered Nurse - Oncology

Full-time, night shifts, 13-16 week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, primarily those with acute leukemia
- Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies following strict safety and protocol guidelines
- Monitor patient responses through telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Maintain infection prevention and patient safety protocols, including fall prevention and IV therapy management
- Collaborate with the healthcare team using EPIC electronic health records and participate in rapid response teams
- Educate patients on treatment plans and procedures, including feeding tube and central line care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Chemo certification (required)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry, MS/Tele, and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Experience with blood product administration, PICC line, and peripheral line management
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient falls prevention
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
