Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts, bi-weekly schedule, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute dialysis care to critically ill patients in a large teaching facility
- Flexibility to work 8/10/12-hour shifts as needed, including weekends and call rotation
- Manage patient treatments and monitor very sick patients in an acute unit setting
- Accurately document all patient care using the EMR system, with recent EPIC experience required
- Participate in weekend call rotation on a weekly basis, with floating responsibilities as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures for dialysis treatment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license, with license on file at time of submission
- Must be able to start within the next 2 weeks
- Previous experience in an acute care or critical care unit working with high acuity patients
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work 8/10/12-hour shifts as needed, with flexible scheduling
- Must have reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle) with all-season or snow tires in winter months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Apheresis experience is preferred
- Prior experience in large teaching or academic medical centers
- Experience working with very sick patients in an emergency or ICU setting
