- Full-time, onsite, days shifts, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients in various surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, bariatrics, and pediatrics.
- Assist with and monitor surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Administer blood products, manage cardiac and sedation monitoring, and handle specimens appropriately.
- Prepare and operate surgical equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic sources, and robotic surgical systems.
- Maintain infection control practices, safety protocols, and assist with emergency management in the OR.
- Support the surgical team by maintaining sterile fields, managing patient positioning, and documenting procedures in the electronic charting system.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience
- Certification in ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support)
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts, days schedule, with flexibility for holiday and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of perioperative protocols, safety procedures, and surgical instruments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in gynecology, plastics, trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, bariatrics, or pediatrics
- Scrub experience in specific surgical specialties such as trauma or robotics
- Certifications such as CNOR, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS are preferred
- Experience with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems like Da Vinci Xi
