Schedule / Job Type
- Travel assignment, full-time, 13-week duration, mid-shift hours (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), 36 hours per week, onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a high-volume Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
- Float between units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility in assignments
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive emergency services
- Document patient care accurately in a Meditech EMR system
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and protocols during shift
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alabama or Compact State Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Associate degree in nursing
- AHA ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- NICHOS or Red Cross certifications (recommended)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of ER nursing experience (consideration for 18 months if under the highest professional license)
- Current TNCC and SECURE on SITEL certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in emergency department settings
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
