Registered Nurse Hospice
Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 16-32 week assignment, Days shifts, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hospice nursing care to patients, including symptom assessment and management with a focus on complex end-of-life needs
- Participate in goals of care discussions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Administer medications via various routes (IV, subcutaneous, oral, sublingual, rectal, and others)
- Document patient care thoroughly in a narrative-heavy EMR system using strong typing skills
- Occasionally provide call coverage, including on holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day (rarely needed)
Required Qualifications
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of community hospice experience
- Strong critical thinking skills for symptom management and assessment
- Excellent documentation and typing skills for narrative documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with complex symptom management and end-of-life care
- Ability to confidently participate in goals of care conversations
- Reliable personal transportation, with all-season or snow tires required from November to April
