Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care, including ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, EKGs, and BIPAP/CPAP therapy.
• Conduct bedside spirometry and manage equipment such as Drager ventilators, Respironics BIPAP/CPAP machines, and MorTara EKG carts.
• Prioritize patient care across all age groups and departments, including ED, ICU, Med-Surg, Peds, OB, and Family Care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, document care using computerized charting systems, and adhere to hospital and department policies.
• Work in a dynamic environment requiring floating across multiple units and departments, including patient care areas and respiratory department.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Care with Minnesota licensure.
• Valid MN Respiratory Therapist license or willingness to obtain upon acceptance.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from AHA.
• Must have MN SNSA certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in hospital respiratory care units.
• Strong equipment operation and maintenance skills.
• Effective communication and prioritization abilities.

Additional Information

• This is a 9-week assignment ending on January 24, 2026.
• LOCAL ADJUSTED BILL RATE: -$8.00; LOCAL ADJUSTED OT BILL RATE: -$8.00.
• Dress code: Gray scrubs.
• Orientation includes hospital specifics, equipment, policies, and brief computer training.
• Candidates must badge in/out at the facility.
• Prior employment with Sanford Health requires previous work date to be at least 6 months prior to submission.
