• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (3x12 nights per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a Level I trauma, Magnet hospital setting.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage peripheral lines and PICC lines with proper care and documentation.
• Follow established isolation precautions and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver overall patient care and ensure smooth unit operations.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records (Cerner).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Active IL RN license or in process with an estimated time of arrival.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.
• Knowledge of peripheral line and PICC line care and management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a trauma or acute care hospital setting.
• Ability to float within scope to meet departmental needs.
• Flexibility with schedule and open to accommodating block scheduling.
