Registered Nurse ICU

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric ICU patients with a respiratory focus
- Manage and monitor ventilated patients, including care for ventilator settings and suctioning
- Administer blood products, manage IV medications, and oversee IV and line placements (Central Line, PICC, starting IVs)
- Titrate cardiac, vasoactive, and sedation drips in accordance with patient needs
- Assist with neuro and respiratory procedures, including stroke management and ventilator support
- Document patient progress accurately using Meditech system and communicate effectively using SBAR
Required Qualifications
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- At least 1 year of ICU RN experience
- Strong skills in central line care, IV management, and ventilator support
- Experience with medication administration systems (Omnicell) and documentation protocols (Meditech)
- Ability to manage patients with respiratory failure, stroke, and complex medical needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neuro and respiratory ICU cases
- Familiarity with continuous IV sedation and titration of multiple drips
- Prior work in adult critical care units (no surgical or cath lab focus)
