Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures within a busy operating room setting focusing on orthopedic and neuro cases, including total joint arthroplasty and spine fusions.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring the availability of equipment and sterile supplies, including Xi robotic systems.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to maintain patient safety and ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to unit protocols, policies, and dress code, including scrubbing, sterile techniques, and call responsibilities.
• Participate in on-call duties, averaging 5-6 shifts every 8 weeks, which may include weekends.
• Support robotic procedures, including Da Vinci Xi robotic surgeries for spinal fusions and other advanced cases.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA certification required)
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience in an OR environment
• Experience with Xi robotic systems, total joint procedures, and neuro/spinal surgeries
• Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts and on call

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgeries and spinal or orthopedic procedures
• Patient advocate mindset and positive team-oriented attitude
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system
