Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 shifts per week, nights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced ICU patient care for neurosurgical, stroke, post-surgical, trauma, and other critically ill patients.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, telemetry, and sedation levels.
• Respond to emergency situations, including dysrhythmias and other acute events, following protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to Stepdown, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid VA RN license with Compact license in hand at the time of submission
• Strong neuro experience, including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke care
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
• Willingness to float to Stepdown, ED, or MedSurg units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of ICU or CCU experience preferred, though strong candidates with less experience will be considered
• Travel experience is a plus
• Experience managing ventilators, IV titrations, and emergency interventions
