Registered Nurse PACU

Schedule / Job Type
- Night shifts, full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7pm-7am)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for surgical patients.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, anesthesia recovery, and overall condition.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to patient emergencies or changes in condition.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow hospital policies and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent PACU experience.
- Valid Ohio nursing license or a license from a compact state.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- One recent reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the PACU or surgical specialty.
- Ability to work night shifts and pass all necessary assessments.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working as a Charge RN in PACU.
- Familiarity with Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked.
