Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shifts, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule, weekdays and weekends, with holiday and float coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients, including post-neurosurgical, stroke, and neuro-related conditions
• Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, telemeters, and sedation levels
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Float to step-down units, ED, or MedSurg as needed
• Maintain patient safety and coordinate with healthcare team to deliver optimal care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license, VA compact license required at the time of submittal
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Strong neuro nursing experience, including post-neurosurgical, stroke, or neuro-critical care
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system
• Valid driver’s license with proof of residency within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Vents, IV titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, emergency management skills
• Experience with post-stroke and post-neurosurgical patient populations
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
