Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative care and documentation for surgical patients.
- Assist with patient assessments, IV starts, and preparations prior to surgery.
- Monitor and document patient status using EMR systems.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Support patient education and discharge planning post-operation.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols to deliver exceptional patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pre-op or PACU.
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems.
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with IV starts and assisting with surgical blocks.
- Comfort with discharging patients home after surgery.
- Outgoing personality and a team-oriented mindset.
