• Part-time, Nights shift, 4 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care in a step-down/telemetry unit for mixed acuity patients.
• Administer and monitor advanced care level drips and interpret EKG strips.
• Collaborate within a team nursing model, partnering with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support float requirements across multiple units, including step-down and other advanced care units.
• Follow infection control protocol, including N95 fitting procedures as needed.
• Ensure compliance with unit standards and participate in patient care planning.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital RN experience, preferably in a large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to pass an online EKG tele-interpretation competency assessment prior to start.
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Certification if not already held.
• Ability to work at least 48 hours, with overtime paid after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts.
• Must be able to pass fit testing for N95 masks.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced care level drips and telemetry monitoring.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Ability to float across multiple units, including telemetry, step-down, and other specialized areas.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday.
