Registered Nurse - CVOR

Full-time, Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized circulating and scrubbed nursing care for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) cases, including open heart surgeries and advanced chest procedures
- Assure compliance with all clinical and safety standards, including Pass/Fail EKG exams required for all CVOR RN staff
- Assist with complex cardiac procedures such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic dissections, pericardial windows, Thoracotomies, and VATS
- Respond promptly to call requirements with a 30-minute response time for on-call duties
- Maintain certification in ACLS and BLS, and demonstrate experience with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina
- Experience in open heart surgery or CVOR procedures, including scrub experience for cardiac cases
- Ability to scrub for complex cardiovascular surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures preferred
- Certified in ACLS and BLS
- Must demonstrate experience with ECMO, LVAD, or Impella support devices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel experience in CVOR/OR settings, especially with open heart cases
- Familiarity with cardiac surgical procedures such as CABG, valve repairs/replacements, and thoracic surgeries
