Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Burlington, NC
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shifts, 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, with occasional 11a-11p), no call, up to end-of-week and holiday coverage as needed, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all ages with diverse medical conditions, including cancer, sepsis, and behavioral health issues.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical record system to document and manage patient information efficiently.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, STEMI and Stroke-certified hospital environment.
• Support special care populations and contribute to the hospital’s specialties, including cath lab, women’s health, and stroke care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including mandatory compliance deadlines and pass/fail EKG exams for all RNs.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort during medical emergencies and complex treatments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
• Valid RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records.
• Knowledge of STEMI and Stroke protocols.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in a cath lab, women’s health, or stroke care unit.
• Experience with special populations such as cancer patients and those with sepsis or behavioral health issues.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
