Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for critically ill children.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including possible cross-unit coverage if required.
- Manage a diverse caseload of pediatric patients, ensuring adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Serve on-call shifts as needed, with guaranteed hours post call-off policy.
- Work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with time off every 4 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of PICU or strong CVICU experience with floating background.
- Valid California nursing license.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 holidays, including holiday eves.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel or floating experience.
- Experience with advanced cardiac care modalities, including ECMO and heart transplants.
- Strong background in neonatal and pediatric intensive care settings.
- Flu shot compliance.
