Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, 13-week contract, Night shifts (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adolescent through geriatric populations in a telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations
• Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, and invasive lines such as groin care and central lines
• Administer medications including heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive infusions
• Perform IV therapy, including starting IVs and managing blood products and PICC lines
• Operate and monitor telemetry equipment, including remote monitoring, and manage respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BIPAP, and ventilators

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to read and interpret strips and telemetry data
• Valid ACLS, BLS, NIH stroke certification, and ability to float to Med-Surg
• Able to accept first-time travelers
• Experience with vents, chest tubes, and groin care
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication management, and invasive line care
• Experience with respiratory equipment and long-term ventilated patients

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience managing post-cardiac procedures, cardiac angiograms, and cardiac surgeries
• Ability to manage complex patient populations across the full adult age spectrum
• Flexibility to float to Med-Surg as needed

Additional Notes:

• No call requirement and no RTO for the first two weeks, with a maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the entire assignment
• RTO must be submitted and confirmed prior to assignment start
• Shift availability is nights, with 12-hour shifts, 3 per week
