Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Moses Lake, WA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive patient status.
- Implement patient care plans consistently, adhering to policies and established care protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on care needs, readiness for learning, and self-care instructions.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic or paper records, complying with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and delegate patient care activities to nursing staff and support personnel as appropriate, potentially serving as a Charge Nurse.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Washington State.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA or equivalent).
- Experience in acute care nursing preferred; at least one year of RN experience in specialty areas is a plus.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Certification in Mother Baby or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required prior to completing orientation for nurses in the Mother Baby Unit.
- Experience with fetal monitoring and specialty certifications (e.g., RN-C) is preferred.
- Completion of advanced fetal monitoring courses such as AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 3 months of training.
