Registered Nurse - NICU

Schedule / Job Type:
Travel Contract, 13 weeks, Night shifts (18:45-07:15), 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU setting.
• Manage complex respiratory and metabolic conditions, including ventilator management, blood glucose monitoring, and phototherapy.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver high-risk delivery care and attend high-risk deliveries when required.
• Adhere to facility protocols, including holiday work as needed, and utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation.
• Cover every third weekend shifts, ensuring continuous patient care coverage.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment caring for neonates ranging from 29 to over 34 weeks gestation.

Required Qualifications:

• MO or compact nursing license at time of submittal.
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.
• Cerner EMR experience is mandatory—no exceptions.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS and NRP Advanced preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and on holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Proficiency in medication administration, including emergency medications and surfactants.
• Experience with endotracheal tube suctioning, HFNC, tracheostomy management, and ventilator modes (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
• Familiarity working with neonates between 29-34 weeks and above 34 weeks.
