Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments including blood products, IV therapies, and pain management protocols
• Assist with procedures such as circumcision, IV insertions, and newborn assessments
• Educate new parents on breastfeeding, cord care, discharge instructions, and infant care
• Follow neonatal and postpartum care protocols, including isolation precautions and couplet care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and discharge planning accurately

Required Qualifications

• MO or compact license at the time of application
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of neonatal or postpartum nursing experience
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Neonatal care skills such as photo-therapy, pain management, and breastfeeding support

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neonate conditions like low birth weight or large for gestational age
• Knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome and vaccine administration
• Skills in thermoregulation, pain assessment, and parent education
