Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the Medical Surgical unit, covering diagnoses such as Medicine, Colorectal Surgery, Urology Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Recon (Hip and Knee Replacement/Revision), Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality care and ensure patient safety.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering multiple Medical Surgical units as required.
• Support patient recovery and manage clinical documentation in EPIC electronic charting system.
• Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse license in the state of Missouri or pending license accepted.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Willingness to float between Medical Surgical units within scope.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a diverse patient population, including postoperative and complex cases.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Prior experience in short-term acute care facilities.

Note:
This position requires consistent night shifts, working three days per week, with every other weekend rotation. Candidates must have the appropriate licenses and certifications to qualify.
