Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including neuro/stroke patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage accordingly.
- Be flexible with weekend requirements, including working approximately 50% of weekends in the contract.
- float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) as needed, with proper training and resources.
- Assist with charge nurse responsibilities when operationally required, with training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana or Compact State RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
- Capable of floating between different units and potentially training for charge responsibilities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with IV starts and telemetry management.
- Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Previous experience working in teaching hospital environments.
