Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical and oncology patients in a hospital setting.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, Heparin, and Insulin.
• Monitor and manage IVs, PICC lines, ports, surgical drains, chest tubes, and wound care.
• Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and follow documentation protocols using systems like EPIC.
• Adhere to unit-specific procedures, including blood draws and central line management.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Med/Surg procedures, ports, blood product administration, wound care, and airway management.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Valid RN license applicable in State of North Carolina.
• Will accept first-time travelers; current ONC certification not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• CPI certification.
• Charge nurse experience.
• Oncology certification (OCN) preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Notes
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: no RTO after booking, no onsite RTO allowed.
• Shifts are 12 hours, with a maximum of 7 days RTO allowed (36 or 48 hours).
• Floating to similar units and alternate care locations within inpatient settings is required.
• Contract staff may be assigned to storm or disaster teams and could be scheduled during catastrophic events.
• Attendance at monthly staff meetings mandatory.
