Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care on a 26-bed orthopedic spine unit, including post-operative patients from spinal surgeries.
- Manage comprehensive patient care involving pain management, mobility support, and physical therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to monitor patient progress and respond to clinical needs.
- Float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses as needed, ensuring competency in various assignments.
- Work scheduled nights with a commitment to coverage during holidays, including working at least two of the three main holidays.
- Adhere to no RTO policy between Christmas and New Year’s.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong experience in cardiac care.
- Ability to work night shifts and meet holiday staffing requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in telemetry and post-operative orthopedic spine patient care.
- Flexibility and willingness to float as per facility policy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in orthopedic spine units or similar telemetry/medical surgical environments.
- Knowledge of post-operative spinal surgery care protocols.
- Previous experience working with adult patient populations in a hospital setting.
