Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Location: Charleston, WV

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to rehabilitation patients in a fast-paced, 24-bed unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including physiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and social workers—to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist patients with cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputations, spinal cord injuries, neurological diseases, and deconditioning.
• Administer therapy and monitor patient progress, with therapy sessions lasting approximately 3 hours daily (Monday-Friday).
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety throughout the care process.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and accommodate scheduling requests.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license (or pending license with active WV/Compact license to start).
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, including 1 year in a rehabilitation or specialty setting.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required).
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Clear licensure with no RTO restrictions unless discussed during interview.
• Must be willing to work a schedule with guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in acute care rehab, neuro, or trauma units.
• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Ability to work flexible block schedules.
• Experience working with patient diagnoses such as SCI, TBI, Stroke, Amputation, and neuromuscular disorders.
