Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Springfield, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 or 4x12
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit during night shifts
- Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret fetal monitoring (EFM) data
- Assist physicians with deliveries and postpartum care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using hospital charting systems
- Float within scope of practice as needed to meet facility requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois RN license
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery or obstetrics nursing
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Ability to interpret fetal monitoring data and respond appropriately
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system
