Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, dayshift (Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
• Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists with patient exams and procedures
• Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations and testing
• Perform diagnostic tests including visual acuity, tonometry, and visual field testing
• Conduct ophthalmic imaging, photography, and digital documentation
• Support in surgical and clinical preparations, including sterilization and equipment setup
• Educate patients on eye care and prescribed treatments
Required Qualifications
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate
• Experience with vision insurance and benefit plan processing
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a vision or eye care center setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
• Experience with VF, IOL, OCT, and Optos testing
