Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for telemetry patients in a hospital setting, including float and resource pool duties.
• Manage patient care in Medical/Surgical Telemetry units with flexibility to work in ED HOLD patients as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend, with potential for work in emergency and hold situations.
• Assist with patient monitoring and documentation using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Adhere to facility protocols, including IV management, blood draws, bladder scans, and glucose monitoring.
• Cover multiple units and potentially work in the Emergency Department for ED HOLD patients.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Valid New York State RN license or proof of application with applied date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
• NIHSS certification prior to start preferred.
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CMSRN certification preferred.
• Experience working in hospital environments with EPIC systems.
• Ability to manage multiple units and patient populations, including med-surg, ortho, urology, and oncology.
