Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts (4 shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in labor and postpartum units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs and progress during labor
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist with deliveries and postpartum care
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and postpartum nursing experience
- Valid nursing license for the state of California (or ability to obtain)
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Ability to float between labor and postpartum units as needed

Additional Notes
- Hard stop: labor and postpartum experience is required
- Willing to consider requests for 4x12 hour shifts
- Ratios: 1:3 in labor and postpartum units
- Orientation: 36 hours
- No block scheduling; flexibility needed for unit float
- Local candidates not accepted; RTO restrictions apply at time of submission
- Hospital features include a 277-bed acute care facility, with scrubs in navy or royal blue for RNs, and other unit-specific dress codes
