- Full-time, night shift, 3 shifts per week, on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dialysis treatments (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) to acutely ill patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, or metabolic imbalances.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac status during treatments, utilizing telemetry when appropriate.
- Administer care for patients with complex medical-surgical or critical care diagnoses, including those requiring heparinized dialysis.
- Support care activities for patients undergoing apheresis procedures for neurologic, renal, or hematologic conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy in a 24/7 hemodialysis environment.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical and safety protocols, including mandatory pass/fail EKG examinations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience with dialysis treatments preferred.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring and manage critical care situations.
- Knowledge of dialysis equipment (Baxter Amia PD, Spectra Optia Apheresis Devices).
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Availability to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a dialysis or critical care setting.
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to float between multiple hospital campuses.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
