Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: State College, PA
Schedule / Job Type: Mids, Part-time (3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department following ENA standards.
• Triage patients upon arrival and determine priority of care based on assessment.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, continuously evaluating patient outcomes.
• Administer emergency interventions and manage complications per hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, discharge planning, and health management.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and thoroughly.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, renewed every two years.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Knowledge of emergency care best practices and protocols.
