• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients in a Level 1 perinatal/nursery unit.
• Stabilize newborns and manage post-delivery patient care, following AWHONN guidelines.
• Titrate and manage IV drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium; handle newborn stabilization and circulator duties for C-sections.
• Monitor fetal and neonatal status using electronic fetal monitoring systems, including Philips fetal monitoring, EPIC, and OBIX.
• Float to other units as needed, supporting high-risk patients, behavioral health, or newborn opioid withdrawal cases.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application submission.
• Certifications in NRP, ACLS, BLS, and EFM.
• Experience with stabilization of newborns and circulating duties for C-sections.
• Ability to titrate IV drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium.
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring systems and neonatal equipment (e.g., Neopuff, heated high flow nasal cannula).
• Strong understanding of obstetric and neonatal patient care, including handling low and high-risk OB patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 1 obstetric/neonatal unit.
• Familiarity with obstetric emergency procedures and surgical scrub routines for C-section support.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, including OB techs and on-call physicians.
