- Shift: 3x12-hour evening shifts, Fri-Sun
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, cardiovascular, chest, head, neck, musculoskeletal, spine, and specialized imaging such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, and other advanced imaging techniques
- Operate MRI equipment in accordance with department protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging
- Maintain patient care and comfort during imaging procedures
- Complete all charting and documentation using Cerner system
- Adhere to hospital policies and ensure compliance with licensing and certification requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' MRI technologist experience
- Active MRI license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain one)
- ARRT-MR certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- On-call availability required
- Must have proficiency in abdomen, pelvis, cardiovascular, head, neck, musculoskeletal, spine MRI techniques and specialized procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level I Trauma hospital experience
- Prior experience with advanced MRI procedures such as gradient echo, perfusion, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and surface coils
- Knowledge of acute care settings and patient management in a trauma center
