Full-time, Days shifts, approximately 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient occupational therapy to patients with conditions such as neurological injuries, orthopedic injuries, limb loss, respiratory failure, and other complex cases.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist patients in improving independence and functional abilities through therapeutic interventions.
• Document patient progress using electronic health records in the Epic system.
• Float within scope may be required to meet facility needs; however, clinicians will not be floated outside of their scope.
• Work approximately 2 weekends per month as part of scheduled weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid and active NBCOT certification
• Valid Alaska occupational therapy license or pending license accepted (strong preference for license in hand)
• Experience in short-term acute care settings
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
• Prior experience with dysphagia, wound care, and complex medical conditions such as brain injury or Parkinson’s disease
• Ability to work a 4x10 day schedule without block scheduling or RTO restrictions

• No local candidates; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
