• Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex, long-term respiratory and medical needs in a long-term acute care setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously, including ventilator support, blood transfusions, and other specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and modify patient care plans aimed at improving outcomes.
• Respond promptly to various alarms and emergencies, utilizing specialized training in ventilator and chronic care management.
• Assist patients with medication management, rehabilitation activities, and engagement in therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient care activities accurately, maintaining detailed and compliant medical records.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term acute care or ventilator unit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to manage critically ill or complex patients.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Familiarity with specialty equipment such as G-tubes, PICC lines, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage multiple patient care plans effectively.
