Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, temporary with potential for permanent placement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision
- Conduct patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans
- Perform technical procedures such as airway management, ventilator management, aerosol drug delivery, blood gas analysis, and EKG analysis
- Respond to emergency situations including code blue and airway management
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper cleaning and stocking of equipment
- Assist in hospital surveys and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Valid RT or RCP license in Louisiana
- BLS certification via American Heart Association
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management, pulmonary function testing, and advanced respiratory procedures
- Ability to handle emergency response and work in a fast-paced environment
