Key Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nursing care in the operating room during various surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain sterile environment and proper documentation using the Meditech EMR system.
- Monitor patient outcomes and respond promptly to intraoperative needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient surgical operations.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety guidelines, including dress code and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license and certification to practice nursing in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of circulating OR experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Experience with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work flexible, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neuro spine surgery experience.
- CNOR certification.
- Over 5 years of OR nursing experience.
