Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care within the Operating Room, focusing on orthopedic, spine, and neuro procedures.
- Assist with robotic surgeries and other complex surgical interventions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth operations and adherence to protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
- Follow unit policies and attend on-call shifts as required (approximately 5 days per month).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Registered Nurse license (RN)
- Minimum of 1 year of OR experience, specifically in ortho, spine, neuro, or robotic surgeries
- Ability to float within the OR or related units as needed
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with robotic surgery systems
- Prior exposure to high-acuity surgical cases in an OR setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
