Schedule / Job Type

• Nights, Part-time (3 shifts per week), 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during each shift.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and responses.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and policies.
• Identify and address patient and family education and discharge needs.
• Oversee the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit.
• Valid State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be through AHA, AHS, or ARC).
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) test prior to or during the first week of assignment; failure will result in contract cancellation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Flexibility and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Experience in floating across departments and locations.
