- Full-time, travel assignment, nights shift (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients with kidney-related conditions in a 36-bed renal unit.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, supporting a variety of patient care needs.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Administer post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis treatments.
- Maintain accuracy in documentation using the Meditech EMR system.
- Adhere to safety and hospital protocols, including holiday and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact state license (No temporary licenses accepted).
- BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in the specialty area of renal nursing.
- Willingness to work 36 hours per week, including holidays and every other weekend.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with dialysis patients.
- Ability to float between units and adapt to different clinical settings.
- Strong collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team.
