Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour evening shifts (3p-3a), scheduled for 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity hospital setting serving primarily elderly and medically challenged patients
• Manage a diverse patient population requiring critical care and advanced medical interventions
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records system to document patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Follow established protocols for emergency care and hospital procedures
• Pass an EKG test on the first day of orientation and maintain compliance with all licensing and certification requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license
• CPR and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke, PALS, TNCC or TNS certifications preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of ER experience in a hospital setting
• Successful completion of an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
• Ability to work with critically ill and elderly patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a cardio-focused hospital environment
• Epic EMR system experience
• Flexibility to float within service lines and locations such as Evanston, Glenbrook, Skokie, and Highland Park, with minimal days off

Notes
